And the Winner Is...

Drumroll, please... Quentin Tarantino!

In last week's official Casting Factory poll we asked you who you would choose if could be cast in a film by any director. An overwhelming 25% of you chose Quentin Tarantino (Kill Bill v. 1 & 2, Inglourious Basterds, Pulp Fiction, etc.) over the other choices. The official results are as follows:

Quentin Tarantino - 25%
Tim Burton - 11%
Steven Spielberg - 9%
Other - 9%
Woody Allen - 6%
Kevin Smith - 6%
Sofia Coppola - 4%
Peter Jackson - 4%
Spike Jonze - 2%
Wes Anderson - 2%
Clint Eastwood - 2%
Christopher Guest - 2%

Make sure to vote in this week's TIFF-related poll! We'd love to know how many of you got to see and meet celebs!

Photoshoot with Gary Goldberg...

Casting Factory's very own Diana C. was recently on a photoshoot at Toronto Waterworks on the city's east side, with Gary Goldberg. As you can see, the weather couldn't be any more perfect and some fantastic pictures came out of it. It doesn't hurt to have a model as beautiful as Diana, nor does it hurt to be working with someone like Gary. Congratulations on a job well done!

TIFF '09 on a Budget: Free Events at Dundas Square...

Photo: BlogTO

If you're like me and have shallow pockets, or just happen to be in the Yonge-Dundas area, TIFF is hosting free screenings every day of the festival. There's something for everyone, so it's worth checking out. For music lovers, there are screenings of Live In Concert films--showcasing bands like U2 (Sept 17) and an appearance by Neil Young following a screening of 'The Neil Young Trunk Show' (Sept 14). For horror film buffs, take part in the Toronto Zombie Walk with director George A. Romero; and end the night with a screening of his 'Night of the Living Dead'. TIFF Madness is Upon US...

Get your camera ready and your movie-watching pants on -- the Toronto International Film Festival is here! Nine whole days of great films, celebs, and screaming fans. Casting Factory is expecting things to get a little crazy here in Yorkville and we couldn't be any more excited. Also, if you're looking to check out any of the films being screened, you can buy them online at www.tiff.net. Or you can buy them in person at Nathan Phillips Square or Roy Thomson Hall. Our advice: run, don't walk!

The Toronto International Film Festival 2009 runs from September 10 to September 19.
